Who We Are
Lysa Phan, L. AC., ADS
My name is Lysa, and I am a proud third-generation Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner. I grew up learning the art and philosophy of TCM from my father, who was taught by his father-my grandfather.
I hold a degree in Health Education, a Master's Degree in Acupuncture, and am licensed to practice in both Maryland and Virginia.
Our clinic is named Healing Tao because "Tao" means "the path." It reflects the belief in following the natural and innate way of living to achieve and maintain health and balance. I believe that when we live in harmony with nature, act with compassion, and do our best in all that we do, we create the foundation for lasting well-being and personal integrity. Integrity is at the heart of my life's work and the guiding principle behind every treatment I offer.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our clinic. You are always welcome to stop by, I would be happy to meet you!
Our Philosophy
At Healing Tao Acupuncture Center, we focus on treating the whole person, not just symptoms. Lysa’s approach blends Traditional Chinese Medicine principles with respect for modern scientific concepts.
The body has an innate intelligence that strives toward balance and wellness. By working together with each patient, we restore harmony, alleviate symptoms, and support long-term health. Complex or chronic cases are approached thoughtfully, and alternative solutions are explored when necessary.
Our History
Healing Tao Acupuncture Center continues the family legacy started by Lysa’s late father, Le Phan, founder of Thien Sanh China Herbs and Acupuncture in Falls Church, VA. Over 27 years, the practice helped more than 100,000 patients.
Now based in Rockville, MD, Healing Tao expands on this tradition, offering personalized, effective care for a new generation of patients.
